What Set & your data
Privacy policy
What Set is published by Sebastian Cohn. This policy covers the iPhone app and this website.

Your workout data
What Set generates workout plans on your iPhone. It saves your training preferences, generated plans, workout completion history, and unfinished setup progress locally. Preferences include your muscle priorities, experience, equipment, number of sessions, and workout length.
The app does not upload these records to a server operated by Sebastian Cohn. It does not require an account and includes no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. Exercise demonstrations are bundled with the app.
Storage, backups & deletion
Your saved preferences, plans, history, and app settings remain in the app’s local storage until you remove them by deleting the app. Unfinished setup progress is cleared when setup is completed and saved. Offloading the app keeps its data.
Depending on your device settings, Apple may include this data in an iCloud or computer backup. Those backups are managed separately through Apple’s settings and services; deleting the app does not necessarily remove an existing backup.
Sebastian Cohn cannot access or delete your locally stored workout records. You control them through your iPhone and backup settings.
Apple services & reminders
If you purchase a membership when offered, Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. The app uses Apple-provided purchase and subscription information, such as the product, transaction status, and expiration date, to verify access. It does not receive your payment-card details.
If you choose a trial reminder, the app asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder on your iPhone. You can turn off this permission in iPhone Settings. No remote push service is used.
The app may ask Apple to show its App Store rating prompt. It stores a local setting to avoid asking repeatedly; it does not receive your rating or whether you submitted a review through that prompt.
Apple handles purchases, backups, and any information collected by its own services under Apple’s privacy policy and your Apple settings. Deleting What Set does not cancel an App Store subscription or delete Apple’s purchase records.
